The inaugural Digitise Drogheda After Hours Workshop Series has successfully concluded, providing local businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals with practical digital skills and expert guidance to help them thrive in an increasingly digital economy. Delivered by Drogheda Digital Hub in partnership with Drogheda & District Chamber and Local Enterprise Office Louth, the programme demonstrated the strong demand for accessible, locally delivered digital learning opportunities.
Developed following a digital transformation roundtable hosted by Robert Murray from the Drogheda & District Chamber in late 2025, the series was designed to respond directly to the needs identified by local businesses seeking support to embrace digital technologies and improve competitiveness.
Over the course of the programme, participants attended a range of practical after-hours workshops covering topics including:
- Managing and securing business data
- Artificial Intelligence for Small Businesses
- Social Media Strategies that Generate Enquiries
- Website and Google Fundamentals
- E-commerce and Online Selling
- Digital Supports Available Through Local Enterprise Office Louth
Each session was delivered by experienced local practitioners and industry specialists, ensuring attendees received actionable insights and techniques that could be implemented immediately within their businesses.
The programme was officially launched in June by Minister of State for Trade Promotion, AI and Digital Transformation, Niamh Smyth TD, highlighting the importance of supporting SMEs to adopt digital tools and technologies as part of their future growth and resilience strategies.

Beyond the workshops themselves, Digitise Drogheda created valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration and peer learning, bringing together business owners from a broad range of sectors in a supportive and welcoming environment. The strong attendance and engagement throughout the series underline the growing appetite among local enterprises to enhance their digital capabilities and future-proof their operations.
Over the duration of the programme the Drogheda Digital Hub welcomed around 130 people through their doors, which proves just how popular the series was among local businesses and attendees alike. As well as providing practical and insightful support to local businesses in the region the series also highlighted the magnificent facility the Drogheda Digital Hub provides to local businesses and individuals within the Drogheda region and further afield.
